Role Description We're looking for a highly versatile Go-to-Market Lead to own the growth and adoption of one of our flagship products. This is not a traditional marketing role, business development role, or product role. It's a hybrid position for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and is excited to take commercial ownership of a product from end to end. - You might spend a few hours interviewing users to understand friction points. - Then a few hours writing product content or launching a growth campaign. - And then a few hours speaking with strategic partners. Role Description The Finance Lead will own the day-to-day finance function of the company. This is a hands-on role designed for a strong FP&A and strategic finance operator who is comfortable working in a lean environment with significant ownership and responsibility. The role reports to the Chief of Staff and manages one direct report responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will serve as the primary finance partner to leadership and will be responsible for ensuring the company maintains financial discipline while preserving the flexibility required to operate like a startup. This is not a traditional corporate finance role. You will not inherit a large team. You will inherit ownership. Responsibilities - Financial Planning & Analysis - Own the annual budgeting process. - Maintain operating forecasts and runway models. - Support capital allocation decisions. - Develop business metrics and performance reporting. - Provide decision support to leadership. - Treasury & Cash Management - Manage cash forecasting and liquidity planning. - Maintain banking relationships and operational controls. - Support treasury-related initiatives. - Monitor short and long-term capital requirements. - Financial Reporting - Coordinate monthly and annual financial reporting. - Prepare board, investor and management reporting packages. - Complete periodic shareholder and investor audit confirmations. - Maintain financial models and planning assumptions. - Oversee accounting close processes through external providers. - Vendor Management - Manage relationships with accounting, tax and audit providers. - Coordinate external advisors and service providers. - Ensure timely completion of compliance obligations. - Operational Finance - Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. - Maintain finance policies and procedures. - Support internal controls appropriate for company size and stage. - Ensure continuity across all recurring finance operations. - Strategic Projects - Assist leadership with special projects as required. Role focus: Aztec Labs is a UK headquartered software development company that (1) helped develop the Aztec Network, the first open-source, permissionless, decentralised and programmable privacy Layer 2 on Ethereum and (2) is currently focused on developing groundbreaking privacy apps on Aztec. We are looking for someone to serve as senior legal counsel. You will work closely with our General Counsel to identify and navigate potential legal and regulatory challenges, and develop internal processes across product, business development, finance, human resources, operations, and compliance. Please note this role will be based out of either London, UK or New York US. Your responsibilities will include: - Draft and negotiate all types of varied legal contracts, including code audit review agreements, advisor engagement agreements, and other legal documents - Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices - Help build and improve internal contract templates and manage the company’s legal documentation database - Collaborating with cross-functional partners on the legal implications across the company’s strategy, product development, financial matters, commercial partnerships, corporate matters, internal policies, compliance, IP, negotiations and more - Manage the company’s internal corporate affairs and filings, including managing the board process and prepare resolutions / minutes and ensure all relevant filings are completed in a timely manner - Manage the legal aspects of company’s share option / token pool strategy - Horizon scanning of regulatory developments - Conduct legal research and analysis and attend policy meeting updates to stay abreast of regulatory developments and other legal / policy trends - Assist in drafting regulatory responses to consultations with a view to shaping policy - Work closely with the operations team and manage relationships with external counsel, policy groups as well as the broader Aztec ecosystem Qualifications: - JD, LLB or equivalent and 5+ years of UK or US qualified legal experience in a global law firm or substantial in-house, preferably in crypto, technology, or fintech - Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks relevant to web3 including US and global financial market regulations, securities laws, and IP and open-source development law - Proven problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote and global team - Deep understanding of, or passion for, crypto and privacy What we offer: - Highly competitive compensation package (base salary US$175k to US$250k, plus equity) - Flexible and remote work environment - 25 days holiday + bank holidays annually - An opportunity to work at the cutting edge of blockchain and FinTech with a world class cryptography and engineering team
