Role Description Join a mission-driven team as an Attorney Team Lead / Supervising Attorney in Ohio! Aspen Careers is partnering with a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for an equitable Ohio for people with disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to lead a team, drive impactful advocacy, and help advance civil rights across the state. - Lead and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals dedicated to disability rights advocacy. - Provide strategic legal oversight on complex and high-impact civil rights matters. - Collaborate with leadership to develop advocacy strategies and program initiatives. - Engage in meaningful work that advances equity and access for people with disabilities. - Work in a mission-driven organization that values collaboration, inclusion, and professional growth. - Enjoy a 35-hour work week, flexible scheduling, and a strong commitment to work-life balance. Qualifications - Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. - Active license and good standing with the Ohio Bar (or ability to obtain). - Admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio (or ability to obtain). - Minimum 4+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally in disability rights, civil rights, nonprofit, or public interest law. - Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring attorneys or legal staff. - Strong commitment to civil rights and the mission of protection and advocacy organizations. - Excellent legal judgment, communication, and leadership skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex legal matters.
