Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and organized Head of Development to join Asian Connections Hub. Your role will be to lead and execute our fundraising and development strategies. This role will be instrumental in growing and diversifying funding sources to support our mission. You will oversee all fundraising activities, cultivate and manage donor relationships, and drive strategic partnerships to ensure the long-term financial health and impact of our organization. Responsibilities - Develop and Execute Fundraising Strategy: - Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with organizational goals, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, events, and major gifts. - Set annual fundraising goals and create strategies to achieve and exceed these targets. - Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: - Build, nurture, and manage relationships with existing and potential donors, sponsors, and partners. - Develop donor engagement programs, ensuring personalized stewardship to foster long-term support and loyalty. - Grant and Proposal Management: - Identify and pursue grant opportunities aligned with our mission; collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals and applications. - Track grant deadlines, manage reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with grant terms. - Collaborate with our Partnership Team to plan strategic Partnerships and Corporate Giving: - Identify and secure corporate sponsorships, philanthropic partnerships, and other strategic funding sources. - Build relationships with corporate and community partners to enhance brand visibility and fundraising potential. - Oversee Development Operations: - Lead the development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. - Oversee data management systems for tracking donations, donor interactions, and campaign effectiveness, using CRM software to manage and analyze fundraising data. - Event Planning and Management: - Lead planning and execution of fundraising events, including annual galas, donor appreciation events, and community outreach activities. - Work with the marketing and communications teams to promote events and secure sponsorships. - Reporting and Financial Accountability: - Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior leadership and the board of directors, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for growth. - Track and report fundraising metrics and impact to ensure transparency and accountability. Qualifications - Proven experience in fundraising and development, preferably in a nonprofit environment. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. - Experience with grant writing and management. - Familiarity with CRM software and data management systems. - Strong organizational and project management skills. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising or development roles. - Demonstrated success in meeting fundraising goals. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. The Grant Writer will research and identify grant opportunities from public and private funding sources that align with ACH’s mission and create compelling, persuasive, well-structured grant narratives using effective storytelling and superior prose while effectively connecting the organization’s mission to aligned funds and grants. The Grant Writer will directly be reporting to our Head of Development at ACH. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify grant opportunities from public and private funding sources that align with ACH’s mission. Draft, review, and submit persuasive grant proposals that align with funding guidelines and organizational objective using effective storytelling and superior prose Ensure compliance with grant regulations and reporting requirements. Conduct market and industry research to strengthen grant applications. Analyze grant outcomes and provide recommendations for future improvements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of experience with a proven track record of successfully securing funding for organizations. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills Strong research, analytical, and writing skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives. Secured at least $5k-$10k in grants. Expertise in researching, analyzing and applying for grants and funding opportunities, amplifying the organization's chances of getting grants or funds within the period. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field. Familiarity with funding agencies, grantor expectations, and legislative processes. Experience with data analysis, financial reporting, and policy evaluation. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Suite EXPECTATIONS This is a contracted role; we’re asking for a maximum of 3-5 hours/week to contribute.
