• Own strategic customer relationships from implementation through long-term adoption, growth, and renewal for Ascertain's highest-priority healthcare partners. • Lead complex implementations, guiding customers through deployment, change management, and operational transformation. • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors, physician leaders, and practice administrators, helping them achieve measurable operational and financial outcomes. • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and influence product direction. • Identify opportunities for expansion by uncovering new use cases, demonstrating ROI, and helping customers maximize the value of Ascertain's platform. • Build scalable playbooks and best practices that improve implementations and establish repeatable success across specialty healthcare organizations.

• Review and verify insurance information and patient eligibility for prior authorizations. • Communicate with healthcare providers to gather necessary medical documentation and information. • Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies following established protocols. • Monitor and track authorization requests to ensure timely processing and resolution. • Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding authorization status. • Maintain accurate records of authorization requests, approvals, and denials. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve authorization issues and improve process efficiency. • Stay updated on insurance policies, regulations, and industry trends related to prior authorizations.

• Embed with new and existing customer practices, remotely and on-site, to map prior authorization, referral, and related workflows end to end. • Build and own the integrations that connect Ascertain's agents to customer systems: EHR APIs (Athena, eClinicalWorks, Epic, etc.), payer portals, fax and EDI, document intake, and the rest of the practice's stack. • Configure and extend our agent platform for each customer—ontology, prompts, tools, guardrails, escalation paths—and harden what works into reusable patterns. • Debug production issues across the full stack: data, prompts, APIs, UI, and the surrounding human workflow. • Serve as the technical voice in customer conversations. Translate between clinical-operations language and engineering, and make informed decisions on what to build, what to configure, and what to decline. • Surface learnings to the product and platform teams so patterns discovered once become reusable.

• Develop and execute on Ascertain’s strategy for AI-driven and AI-managed integrations • Perform up-front discovery through workflow shadowing, research, and competitive analysis and present findings to the team with conviction and rigor • Prioritize the integrations with partners and vendors which will drive the most leverage for our team as we scale and expand into new use cases • Partner with Customer Success to define acceptance criteria, testing protocols, and ensure high-quality delivery • Track usage, performance metrics, and customer feedback, to continuously improve the quality of our product

• Own product features end-to-end, from design through production. • Build user-facing experiences in React and TypeScript. • Design and ship backend services with Python and FastAPI. • Partner with product, design, and engineering peers to turn fuzzy problems into shipped software. • Raise the bar in code review and help shape our engineering practices. • Improve our development processes as we grow — testing, CI/CD, observability — the things that compound over time.

Role Description We're hiring a Staff Product Manager, Automation to own the core automation platform that makes this possible. This role sits at the intersection of LLM-powered agents, workflow automation, and healthcare operations. You'll work hand-in-hand with engineering, operations, and deployment teams to decide what our agents can reliably automate next, how we measure their performance in the real world, and how we scale across the many complexities of healthcare. - Own the roadmap for our automation vertical, from problem definition and opportunity sizing through agent design, rollout, and measurable outcomes in production. - Partner with operations and engineering to translate messy real-world workflows into agent-executable specs. Shadow ops teams, reverse-engineer payer portals, read denial letters, and turn all of it into structured requirements an agent can act on. - Define the evaluation and observability story for your agents. Manage the metrics, evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths. - Prioritize ruthlessly across competing customer asks, platform investments, and net-new automation surfaces. Decide what becomes productized vs. what stays bespoke. - Partner with GTM on positioning, pricing signals, and customer expansion - automation ROI is the story, and you'll help tell it with the data to back it up. Qualifications - 8+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on technical, platform, or workflow-automation products (not just consumer features). - A demonstrated track record of shipping products that involve integrating with messy, legacy, or enterprise systems - EHRs, payer systems, ERPs, imaging systems, or similarly gnarly backends. - Fluency with modern AI/ML systems - LLMs, agents, RAG, evals, tool use. You don't need to train models, but you need to credibly scope what an agent can and can't do, and push back when engineering over- or under-promises. - Strong analytical chops - you're comfortable in SQL, notebooks, or whatever it takes to answer your own product questions without waiting on a data team. - Experience working in zero-to-one or early-scaling environments where the product, the customer, and the operating model are all being figured out in parallel. - Excellent written communication. You can turn a chaotic customer workflow into a crisp spec, a deployment postmortem into a roadmap item, and a technical tradeoff into a decision the exec team can make in ten minutes. Requirements - Healthcare experience is a strong plus but we'll take a strong technical PM from an adjacent high-complexity domain who's hungry to go deep on healthcare. - Builders encouraged.
