Role Description Provide high-quality financial support and expertise to a mid-sized nonprofit behavioral health agency. Our finance team is instrumental in ensuring that program and agency leaders have the financial tools available to ensure data-driven planning and decision-making. - Financial reporting - Funder and grant expense tracking - Account reconciliations - Financial analysis - Billings for reimbursement from contractual agencies/funding sources - Timely external reports for our diverse funders - Budgets for funders - Funder financial reviews - Assist in month end close - Journal entries - Financial statements - Assist with annual financial statement audit and annual budgeting process - Support 2-3 program directors for all their financial needs, including facilitating their monthly meetings - Partner with other accountants, financial managers, and the CFO in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures - Potential for internal growth and advancement - Eligible for remote, in-person, or hybrid work Qualifications - Michigan resident - Bachelor's Degree in accounting - 2-3 years of accounting experience - Experience with high-volume data using analysis tools preferred - Proficiency in Excel - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet strict external deadlines - Strong attention to detail - Experience in a non-profit setting strongly preferred - Experience with NetSuite (Oracle) preferred - Desire to support Arbor Circle's Mission and Values by providing financial support to the programs and agency Requirements - Success is achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships, communication, and organization - An openness to embrace and explore bias, equity issues, successes, and challenges from a place of understanding and curiosity is needed to succeed and develop in the position/organization Benefits - Market-driven and equitable salary practices - Robust health insurance options - 401k match - Focus on Wellbeing: - 11 paid holidays (including floating holidays for times important to you) - 3 weeks’ vacation upon hire plus separate paid sick time - Supportive and fulfilling culture - Equity and inclusion-focused affinity and work groups
