• Perform daily and weekly review, coding and publishing of invoices and bills in cloud-based platform for a portfolio of AMLB’s clients, ensuring accuracy of key data fields. • Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and other entries in Quickbooks Online and Xero. • Take ownership of obtaining and uploading bank and credit card statements in a timely manner from clients and performing self-reviews for accuracy. • Prepare sales invoices and set-up payments to vendors on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis for a portfolio of AMLB’s clients. • For all AMLB clients, refresh bank feeds in QBO/Xero or obtain and upload bank statements to QBO/Xero if bank feed is not operational. • Compare bank statement to QBO/Xero bank feed to confirm accuracy on a periodic basis. • Assist in audits as needed, providing required documentation and support. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes • Support Cloud Accountants with general bookkeeping-related tasks as needed.

• Lead end-to-end onboarding for new clients, in alignment with AMLB’s commitment to a world-class finance function for entrepreneurs and non-profits • Perform catch-up and clean-up bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online or Xero, including reconciliations, clearing accounts, sales tax, payables, and invoicing • Review client books, identify issues, and proactively resolve or escalate items that could affect quality, compliance, or timelines • Prepare clean, well-documented handoffs to the ongoing service team • Build, maintain, and improve onboarding workflows and templates in Karbon (e.g., tasks, dates, owners, naming conventions, checklists) • Streamline and standardize onboarding procedures, identifying ways to reduce friction and increase quality • Create and maintain documentation (step-by-step procedures, checklists, and short training videos) to support internal adoption of new processes • Gather feedback from team members and incorporate it into sustainable process improvements • Maintain onboarding capacity tracking and monitor utilization to help plan upcoming workload and timelines • Research, evaluate, and test tools that improve onboarding efficiency and accuracy; support implementation and rollout • Participate in firm-wide operational improvement initiatives and share ideas for doing things better, faster, and smarter

• Manage a remote team of finance professionals (up to 7 Bookkeeping Specialists and Cloud Accountants), including participating in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and performance management • Ensure successful client service delivery for a growing portfolio of growth-oriented clients in a wide range of industries across Canada, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of recurring deliverables such as monthly/quarterly management reports, sales invoicing, vendor payments, payroll coordination, and HST filings. • Review year-end trial balances, supporting working papers and financial statements before handing it off to AMLB's Tax team, who finalize financial statements and prepare corporate and personal tax returns. • Monitor and elevate the quality and timeliness of client communication, identify potential gaps, and coach team members on service excellence. You’ll also proactively flag any indications of scope expansion to the Director for pricing review. • Stay abreast of regulatory and technical accounting standard changes, such as CSRS 4200 and CSQM, and update AMLB's client service standards and processes to address any changes, as well as proactively monitor compliance with these standards. • Resolve payroll-related issues by liaising with AMLB’s dedicated Payroll Lead and clients as needed. While payroll execution is out of scope for this role, ensuring satisfactory resolution of issues remains within your responsibility. • Support and participate in client advisory work, including leading ad hoc financial projects, particularly when operational or financial challenges arise for clients that are outside the current service scope. • Partner with AMLB’s Tech & Operations Specialist to identify, recommend, and help implement process improvements in client service workflows, internal documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Champion AI adoption within the team, with access to tools like ChatGPT Plus and support for ongoing AI learning. You’ll be encouraged to test and apply AI solutions that improve internal efficiency and elevate client service delivery. • Deliver training and mentoring to your team on both technical and non-technical topics to enhance performance, drive consistency, and encourage continuous learning.
