Agile Space Industries is seeking a remote Strategic Communications Specialist to support both Marketing and Business Development in telling a consistent, compelling story of the Agile brand. Structurally, this role sits within the Creative function under the Business Development organization and serves as the connective layer across marketing, communications, technical content, PR, and customer engagement. This is not a traditional content, PR, or marketing role. It is a narrative-building role focused on how all of these elements come together to shape a cohesive brand story. Success in this position requires strong curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to consistently ask “so what,” “why,” and “how” to uncover meaning behind complex work and translate it into clear, authentic communication. Responsibilities - Press: Research, write, and edit high-quality content including blog posts, press releases, case studies, website copy, and select social content aligned with the Agile Space Industries brand - Sales Collateral: Support business development team by collecting input, writing, and editing proposal narratives, technical product descriptions, and product presentations - Investor Content: Using inputs from executive staff, create narratives for investor briefings and presentations - Customer and General Content: Support the generation and editing of briefs, program updates, and reports to commercial and government customers - Execute media relations activities, ensuring compliance with ITAR/EAR and contractual requirements while supporting media prep, customer coordination, and crisis communications as needed - Partner with marketing, business development, engineering, and executive leadership to gather information, ensure accuracy, and translate technical work into clear, compelling narratives - Manage writing projects through planning and task management utilizing internal teams, customers, and external partners to deliver relevant, well-aligned public communications - Synthesize complex technical concepts into clear, engaging narratives for varied audiences, driven by intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, and a commitment to deep subject matter understanding Requirements - 2–4 years of experience in content marketing, communications, technical writing, science communication, or journalism, preferably in space, science, defense, technology, or other technical fields - Portfolio of written content samples - Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn complex technical, market, and industry topics Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, engineering, aerospace, or a related technical field - Portfolio of published, public-facing content in space, technology, science, motorsports, or other relevant technical domains - Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, manufacturing, business development, marketing, and executive leadership - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and communicate complex ideas clearly - Strong storytelling and strategic thinking skills, including understanding when, where, and how to effectively deliver content - Experience with PR, media relations, press releases, whitepapers, and technical documentation - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with content strategy, brand development, and platforms such as LinkedIn - Skilled in writing for diverse audiences, from highly technical to general public - Willingness to travel approximately 20% annually based on business needs.
