Role Description We’re currently looking for a Senior Audit Reviewer on a full time, permanent basis. This position sits within the Compliance team and is offered as a remote role based from home. Reporting to the Lead Senior Audit Reviewer, on a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following: - Plan and conduct monitoring visits to firms holding a UK or Ireland auditing certificate and/or CAA-Atol licence issued by ACCA, in accordance with defined procedures. - Identify and communicate any necessary improvements in the firm’s work to ensure compliance with relevant standards, ACCA’s Global Practising Regulations, and the Code of Ethics and Conduct. - Consider and recommend further regulatory action, where appropriate. - Prepare and issue a detailed report to the firm (or, as appropriate, the Admissions and Licensing Committee or Regulatory Assessor) after each monitoring visit, confirming findings and any required or recommended future action. - Provide information as necessary to other departments (such as Authorisation and Investigations) to ensure ACCA can discharge its regulatory responsibilities effectively and efficiently. - Carry out peer reviews of visit reports produced by colleagues in the Compliance team to ensure consistency of approach and maintain quality of written output. - Ensure that the firm responds to the visit report and provides any outstanding information by the specified date, including adhering to procedures for issuing reminders, where necessary. - Respond to post-visit correspondence from the firm, including assessment of any action plan to improve the standard of the firm’s work, and provide further guidance as necessary. - Contribute to the design, implementation, and review of regulatory procedures and systems to ensure efficient and effective performance of the Compliance team. - Undertake other duties and contribute to other ad hoc projects within Compliance as required to maintain ACCA's status as a statutory supervisory body in the UK and Ireland. Qualifications - Has a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or equivalent). - Has significant post-qualification UK and/or Irish external audit experience at manager level or above. - Has in-depth technical knowledge of International Standards on Auditing, Ethical Standards, and the relevant sections of ACCA’s Rulebook. - Has extensive practical experience of applying relevant auditing standards. - Has the ability to communicate confidently, effectively, and appropriately with experienced, qualified audit practitioners, both orally and in writing. - Has the ability to build strong working relationships and manage potentially difficult individuals while remaining calm, assertive, and professional at all times. - Has sound judgment and the ability to make reasoned and appropriate decisions. - Has an organised and methodical approach and can work to strict deadlines. - Is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Is computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. - Has an appreciation of the importance of appropriate management controls and corresponding “best practice” in the accountancy profession. - Is prepared to occasionally travel throughout the UK and Ireland, which may involve staying away overnight. Must hold a UK/Republic of Ireland driving licence and have access to own vehicle. Role Description We’re currently looking for a Business Development Manager on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term basis. This position sits within the UK Apprenticeships Relationships Team. We are flexible on the location of this role as it is a remote working role, with travel around the UK as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to contribute to the development of engagement plans for client partnerships, to deliver against agreed KPIs linked to ACCA Apprenticeships. Reporting to the Head of UK Apprenticeships and Relationships, on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the following: - Identifying and progressing opportunities to grow ACCA’s Apprenticeship numbers through our existing Employer relationships. - Identifying and progressing opportunities to grow ACCA’s Apprenticeship numbers through new Employer relationships. - Supporting businesses with relevant ACCA Apprenticeships changes to develop engagement and improve performance. - Planning and actively managing multi-level relationships for existing and potential businesses. - Developing and managing strong relationships with leading partners in order to build and sustain ACCA’s Apprenticeships. - Working in partnership with our existing learning provider network to grow their ACCA apprenticeships. - Using agreed criteria, identifying and proposing potential new learning providers to deliver ACCA Apprenticeships based on an understanding of potential contribution. - Working with all Learning Partners to ensure readiness for all Apprenticeships changes and support a smooth journey for their Apprentices using ACCA qualifications. - Contributing to and following up all relevant marketing campaigns to individuals and Employers to convert interest into successful Apprenticeship programmes. - Supporting all pathways into Apprenticeships to support the growth of Apprenticeships. Qualifications - Understands the Education marketplace, especially around Apprenticeships, business sector developments, competitor activities and ACCA’s product and service offering. - Can report regularly on progress through the appropriate reporting mechanisms. - Actively supports the wider work of the local market and contributes to the improvement of local procedures and systems. - Has demonstrable experience in business development and business-to-business relationship management. - Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term, high quality, trusted relationships up to and including board level, through networking and prospecting with strong influencing and negotiation skills. - Is highly motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and happy to work towards KPIs.
