Role Description ACAMS Sr. Manager, Global Translations, is responsible for managing the translation function for ACAMS Translations Center of Excellence and serves as the owner for translation standards, tooling, and governance. This includes end-to-end oversight of translation workflows, from coordinating with product teams on go-live dates and customer requirements to managing internal and external translation resources. This role requires strong program management skills to ensure that translated assets are delivered on time and meet quality standards. The Sr. Manager, Global Translations works closely with Product Managers, Product Development, Production, Marketing, and Editorial teams to facilitate translated content for all organizational needs. Additionally, this role collaborates with Customer Success to address translation-related issues and maintain high-quality standards for all translated assets. Responsibilities - Translation Process and Program Management: - Setup, build processes for, document, and oversee the Translation Center of Excellence, a cross-functional translation center for all ACAMS. - Oversee and manage the entire translation workflow, including planning, execution, and quality assurance, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of translated assets. - Use strong program management skills to manage timelines, resource allocation, and budgets for translation projects, adapting to shifting priorities and maintaining a high level of flexibility and responsiveness. - Vendor and Internal Resource Management: - Manage and collaborate with external translation vendors and internal resources to manage requests, track timelines, and ensure quality standards are met, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery. - Monitor and communicate resource availability, coordinating with freelance and internal resources to support translation activities effectively. - Translation Strategy & Governance: - Define and maintain ACAMS’ global translation strategy. - Establish enterprise standards for translation quality, workflows, tooling, and vendor usage. - Serve as the escalation point for complex translation decisions, risks, and tradeoffs. - Define KPIs and success metrics for global translation effectiveness, quality, and ROI. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with Product Managers, Product Development, Production, Marketing, Editorial, and technical teams to understand project timelines, go-live dates, and requirements for all translation projects. - Facilitate communication among teams to clarify expectations, address project needs, and ensure seamless integration of localized content into all outlets. - Quality Assurance: - Manage the quality assurance process for translated content, working closely with vendors and internal resources to review, approve, and validate the accuracy and cultural relevance of translations. - Customer Issue Resolution: - Work with Customer Success to address any translation-related issues, ensuring prompt and effective solutions that meet customer satisfaction standards. - Continuous Improvement: - Identify and implement process improvements within the translation workflow to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability of translation operations. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, education, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in translation management, localization, or global content production, preferably within online training, instructional design, or digital learning environments. - Strong program management skills with experience overseeing complex translation projects and workflows, coordinating across teams and vendors to meet timelines and budgets. - Proven experience working with translation vendors, managing quality assurance processes, timelines, and budgets to ensure high-quality translations. - Proven experience managing a team, including Project Managers, to support translation operations and ensure effective workload distribution. - Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and translation management systems (TMS); experience with reusable content libraries and localization best practices is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving translation-related issues. - Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional communication and align stakeholder expectations. - High level of flexibility and adaptability, able to respond to shifting priorities and dynamic project requirements. - Must be a fluent English speaker, additional modern languages preferred. - Ability to work flexible (off) hours when working on deadlines and occasionally in line with other ACAMS regions’ time zones. - Ability to travel if required. - This role requires permanent residency within the Eastern Time Zone. Opportunity at a Glance The Paralegal or Compliance Manager supports the development and effective implementation of ACAMS’ global compliance frameworks in accordance with applicable regulations. This role is responsible for reviewing, updating, and monitoring compliance policies, procedures, and related controls, especially in the areas of anti-bribery and corruption, international sanctions, data privacy, and internal controls—to effectively manage compliance risks. Responsibilities - Assist in the development and timely updates of anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, data privacy, internal controls, and other compliance frameworks (including policies, procedures, and relevant controls) - Coordinate compliance activities with key business stakeholders (sales, procurement, finance, etc.) - Support and help manage compliance projects and Compliance IT tools - Conduct and document sanction screenings of vendors and customers per company procedures - Provide guidance and support for internal compliance training - Monitor compliance with company policies and assist in investigating ethics complaints or other policy violations under the guidance of Legal VP - Assist in the preparation of quarterly updates for the Audit Committee regarding compliance issues - Review compliance policies and update annual risk assessments to support internal stakeholders - Ensure that Compliance Risk Assessments are performed as needed Experience and Skills - Minimum of 5 years’ experience assisting or leading international compliance efforts, preferably in a paralegal or compliance support capacity. - Broad compliance knowledge, including anti-bribery and corruption, international sanctions, internal controls, accessibility, and data privacy laws and regulations. - Meaningful knowledge of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Sapin II, and related regimes. - Significant experience supporting international business operations. - Project management and risk-based approach - Effective communication and change management capabilities - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Critical thinking ability and effective problem-solving - Ability to use IT tools - Work collaboratively and efficiently while managing organizational priorities - Bachelor’s degree required - Paralegal certification or equivalent experience strongly preferred #LI-Remote EEO We are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.
