Role Description Do you want to do more than just complete tickets? Do you want to build real products? As a Product Engineer (m/f/d) for ADFERENCE, working in Product Engineering, you will be the driving force at the intersection of our customers and the code. Collaborating closely with our product team and our early Design Partners (brands, agencies, and Amazon power-sellers), you will dive deep into their workflows, translate vague customer requests into concrete product decisions, and ship them at high speed. If you see software development as a means to solve real user problems and thrive in a high-autonomy environment, you are the perfect fit for us! - End-to-End Ownership: You own the entire build from task to ship. Together with our product team and your cross-functional team from other chapters within the engineering team, you build the user interface in the frontend, write the logic in the backend, and deploy the finished feature independently onto our AWS or Vercel infrastructure. - Customer Discovery: You talk directly to our Design Partners (brands, agencies, and Amazon power-sellers), understand their reality in e-commerce, and independently translate their actual needs into smart software solutions. - High Velocity: You move fast, make pragmatic decisions, and bring features from the initial product discovery phase directly into live deployment. You leverage modern AI coding tools to focus your energy entirely on solving user problems. Qualifications - Product Builder DNA: You want to understand why something is being built and take action when a specification is thin. You take pride in customer problems solved, not in the most complex technical solution. - Solid Tech Fundamentals: You have a solid understanding of software engineering concepts TypeScript, React, and SQL. - User & Domain Focus: You bring a proven sense for intuitive UX and ideally a background in e-commerce (e.g., marketplaces, seller tools, retail operations, or PPC/Amazon Advertising). - Autonomy & Experience: You have startup experience that you actually enjoyed, or you have proven experience taking end-to-end ownership of software with real users – ideally with no Product Manager (PM) between you and the customer. - Modern Workflow: You are an early adopter of AI coding (e.g., Claude) because writing code is simply a means to an end for you. - Strong Communication: You have excellent English skills. German language skills are a plus to help navigate discovery calls with our predominantly German-speaking partner customers. Benefits - An exciting work environment in a dynamic industry - Fair, collegial, and open interaction across the entire team - The freedom to grow, combined with appreciative leadership - High autonomy at work, flat hierarchies, and an open feedback culture - Modern work structures, including remote options and flexible hours - Free days for further education and social engagement - Monthly childcare subsidy - 40% discount in the ABOUT YOU Online Shop - Company pension plan - Company bike leasing - Regular team and company events - Free drinks & fresh fruit
