Research Consultant, Health Economics
Clinical Outcomes Solutions
• Accountable for executing assigned projects on time and with expected quality. Including the development of global economics models, local model adaptations and supporting analytical work including survival and HRQoL analyses. • Practical experience in the application of statistics in health technology appraisal, health economics, outcomes research or clinical data analysis. • Advanced knowledge and experience with programming cost-utility models in Microsoft Excel including Visual Basic for Applications. • Ability to synthesize, interpret, and communicate economic data, and perform quality assurance checks on economic models and reports. • Work closely with clients and senior team members to understand client needs, develop and scope potential solutions and contribute to delivery and reporting of modelling and analytical products. • Quality and efficiency: excellent analytical and organizational skills with superior attention to detail. • Create, identify and leverage new business opportunities by identifying emerging customer needs and formulating appropriate solutions to meet revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction objectives. Contribute to the development of proposals within your area of expertise. • Draft and develop manuscripts, abstracts and posters, and where required attend and present at conferences. • Ensure company and business unit policies, standards, and procedures are met.
Job Requirements
- Fluency in Dutch
- Advanced degree MSc (required) or PhD (preferred) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, and Public Health or other related fields.
- At least 2-3 years of health research experience in a consultancy (preferred) or equivalent academic work environment in conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, and/or budget impact analyses.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required with a working hands-on knowledge in the development of economic models and/or BIMs including the use of VBA
- Working hands-on knowledge in R for trial analyses is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
- Organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
