PS Technologies
• Technical focus will be on structural engineering and/or site (civil) design for substations and power delivery facilities • Structural engineering responsibilities include development of design criteria, structure design, foundation design, and building design • Structure design primarily consists of standard shape steel structure, specification of tubular steel structures, fire walls, and related facilities • Foundation design primarily consists of drilled pier, shallow/pad, and spread footing foundations • Site (Civil) engineering responsibilities include development of design criteria; grading & drainage design; access road design (paved and unpaved sections, vehicle maneuvering modeling, haul road analysis, etc.) • Specification & design of retaining walls, perimeter walls, fences and gates; water storm drawing design; ability to specify and interpret hydrology studies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years’ civil engineering experience required
- Experience with ACAD Civil 3D experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to quality and accuracy
- Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules
- P.Eng. license is required

Role Description GHD's Construction group is hiring! We have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Construction Superintendent to oversee construction job sites throughout the United States. This position would support the following types of projects: - Environmental remediation - Earthwork - Heavy civil - Demolition - Dredging/waterway - General contracting In this role, you will: - Direct crews onsite and ensure deadlines and quality control measures are met. - Evaluate project work in accordance with a predetermined timeline and budget. - Align with the strategic goals of the organization and scope of the project. - Work remotely on project sites with rotations home on a regular basis. - Be located anywhere in the USA, with a preference for candidates near or willing to relocate to western Ohio. Specific responsibilities will include: - Collaborate with the site's H&S representative and Site Safety Officer to enforce the site and corporate Health and Safety Plans. - Review project hazards and participate in Job Hazard Analysis and incident investigation and reporting. - Perform pre-task planning. - Coordinate and plan field activities for craft and equipment resources. - Lead all aspects of work performance and productivity of crafts and subcontractors. - Ensure direct report timecards accurately reflect hours and job tasks (WBS coding) worked and are submitted timely. - Understand the project contract/scope and advise project management of potential changes, problems, and schedule difficulties. - Assist in planning work schedule, determining workforce levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, subcontractor scheduling, etc. - Assist with selection and hiring of project craft personnel. - Responsible for training and mentoring direct reports and subcontractors. - Understand and use GHD’s cost control systems to improve job performance. - Dedication to and responsibility of GHD’s Safety Culture onsite. - Perform additional assignments as needed.
