Role Description GHD's Construction group is hiring! We have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Construction Superintendent to oversee construction job sites throughout the United States. This position would support the following types of projects: - Environmental remediation - Earthwork - Heavy civil - Demolition - Dredging/waterway - General contracting In this role, you will: - Direct crews onsite and ensure deadlines and quality control measures are met. - Evaluate project work in accordance with a predetermined timeline and budget. - Align with the strategic goals of the organization and scope of the project. - Work remotely on project sites with rotations home on a regular basis. - Be located anywhere in the USA, with a preference for candidates near or willing to relocate to western Ohio. Specific responsibilities will include: - Collaborate with the site's H&S representative and Site Safety Officer to enforce the site and corporate Health and Safety Plans. - Review project hazards and participate in Job Hazard Analysis and incident investigation and reporting. - Perform pre-task planning. - Coordinate and plan field activities for craft and equipment resources. - Lead all aspects of work performance and productivity of crafts and subcontractors. - Ensure direct report timecards accurately reflect hours and job tasks (WBS coding) worked and are submitted timely. - Understand the project contract/scope and advise project management of potential changes, problems, and schedule difficulties. - Assist in planning work schedule, determining workforce levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, subcontractor scheduling, etc. - Assist with selection and hiring of project craft personnel. - Responsible for training and mentoring direct reports and subcontractors. - Understand and use GHD’s cost control systems to improve job performance. - Dedication to and responsibility of GHD’s Safety Culture onsite. - Perform additional assignments as needed. Qualifications - Minimum 7 years of supervisor level experience with exposure to some or all of the following types of projects: environmental remediation, heavy civil, demolition, mining, dredging/waterway, and general contracting. - Ability to review and use project schedules to plan and direct field activities. - Ability to communicate with and direct a team composed of different crafts and subcontractors. - Ability to recognize potential changes and other project impacts and assist project management with notices and claims. - Working knowledge and understanding of project contract, specifications, and drawings for assigned activities. - Proficiency in construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to supervise large groups. - Writing skills necessary to document project activities. - Ability to effectively communicate with clients and subcontractors and maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., purchasing, engineering, etc.) as required to support construction schedule. - Solid understanding to safely operate equipment and qualify employees. • Manage day-to-day drafting and estimation workflow, prioritizing and assigning projects accordingly. • Develop detailed architectural and construction plans for residential and commercial projects. • Ensure all finished drawings, quotations, and estimates align with customer and project requirements. • Provide guidance and mentorship on drafting and estimation best practices; support training and development as needed. • Contribute to building and maintaining a cost database or pricing system for recurring project types. • Perform any other job-related duties as required.

• Provides forensic consulting services requiring Civil Engineering expertise for insurance, legal, industrial, and other clients. • Assesses and determines the cause and origin of structural failures and/or damage, building envelope failures and/or damage, and construction defects. • Provides oral and written reports of findings and, when needed, expert testimony. • Manages multiple projects. • Performs the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters. • Prepares oral and written reports to document the causes of failure and/or damage, extent of loss, associated repair scope, and recommended remediation.

• Lead the structural analysis and design for global energy projects ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, mechanical, and civil engineers to deliver integrated solutions. • Conduct structural assessments and provide expert recommendations for maintenance, rehabilitation, or failure investigations. • Develop detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction documentation. • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project staff to enhance team capabilities. • Interact with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective engineering solutions. • Stay current with advancements in structural engineering and energy sector technologies to innovate and improve project outcomes. • Oversee quality control processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of structural engineering work.
