• Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of AI/NLP systems for scientific feasibility assessment; develop and test integrated pipelines combining literature-based discovery, structured knowledge extraction, simulation, and code-based experimentation; run experiments and benchmarking at scale. • Architect and maintain high-quality research codebases in Python and related tools; implement automated experimentation frameworks, simulation integrations, and evaluation infrastructure; ensure reproducible artifacts, logging, and documentation for large-scale empirical studies. • Design and execute systematic empirical analyses of model behavior and experimental outcomes; analyze large-scale datasets, intermediate outputs, and logs to diagnose system performance, refine methods, and ensure research rigor. • Lead and co-author conference and journal papers for top-tier AI/NLP and machine learning venues; prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication; create clear technical presentations and present findings at national and international conferences. • Develop research directions, experimental methodology, and project roadmaps; assist with preparation of technical reports, and research documentation as needed. • Drive collaboration, manage relationships, and provide technical guidance to student researchers where appropriate. • Contribute to a collegial, respectful, and collaborative research environment through professional and constructive communication. • Coordinate with collaborators within and outside the University as needed for joint experiments, data integration, and research dissemination.

• Advance the firm’s understanding of event-driven situations by developing deep, context-rich views that provide informational edge over the market. You'll own situations end-to-end, maintaining a running view as facts and narratives evolve. • Monitor and interpret new information as it emerges, exercising judgment to distinguish signal from noise and clearly communicate what matters, what does not, and how it changes the decision set/probability tree. • Identify actionable, asymmetric opportunities early, grounded in a well-developed understanding of the situation rather than reactive interpretation. • Contribute to the development of the firm’s research capabilities, working with engineering to shape tools and workflows that support our event-driven trading style.

• Ideation - Work with traders and researchers to identify potential news-driven trading opportunities. - Maintain core themes updated by communicating material information. - Maintain a detailed calendar of material events. • Sourcing, monitoring - Identify key sources of breaking news for all tracked themes. - Work with developers to streamline the ingestion of key sources. - Monitor content flows in real-time and alert traders, researchers to potential trading opportunities. • Build and maintain high-quality alerts - Build high precision, recall automated alerts for themes of interest. Prioritize, enable, disable, and update alerts as market conditions change. - Constantly review alerts to ensure they are relevant, robust, and resilient. • Working with our technical team - Direct product development of our real-time event monitoring and alerting system. - QA/UAT and test all releases of alerts and product to ensure they meet the firm’s high standards of quality.

• Enter and maintain accurate study data and documentation, including source documents, case report forms and CTMS records. • Resolve data queries and complete assigned administrative work within expected timelines. • Support participant scheduling, check-in/check-out coordination, recruitment logistics and enrollment documentation as assigned. • Prepare and maintain study files and materials for monitoring visits, audits and site operations, including the Investigator Site File. • When deployed to a site, perform trained and delegated tasks such as lab processing, sample collection support, specimen preparation and shipping, point-of-care testing, and investigational-product accountability. • Follow protocols, GCP, SOPs and applicable U.S. and Canadian requirements; escalate safety events, errors, risks and questions promptly. • Build effective working relationships with different site teams and managers, and transition smoothly as assignments change.
