• Design and build highly scalable, resilient, and distributed systems and services, while translating complex functional and technical requirements into detailed technical architecture. • Write high-quality and well-tested, production-grade code, and actively participate in and lead code reviews, design reviews, and day-to-day implementation work alongside the broader engineering team. • Own systems end to end, covering design, deployment, monitoring, and on-call support; build robust observability such as metrics, alarms, and dashboards; design for failure using graceful degradation and fallback strategies; and drive root-cause analysis on production issues. • Deliver quality features on time and on budget, and execute against project plans and commitments in an agile environment that balances speed with technical rigor. • Partner with GMs, Operations managers and supervisors, along with cross-time-zone teams, to translate business and customer problems into technical solutions, and work directly with customers and stakeholders to reduce friction and accelerate outcomes. • Influence technical decisions and standards within your team and immediate domain; mentor engineers across levels. • Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and operational readiness. • Guide and develop junior engineers by sharing knowledge, providing hands-on coaching through code and design reviews, and fostering their growth so they can independently deliver high-quality, well-architected solutions.

• Work with the team to design and implement backend systems that manage and organize data efficiently. • Develop and maintain data pipelines that support the platform’s data-driven features. • Design and implement intuitive solutions through collaborative and autonomous workflows. • Analyze current and potential metrics, helping to determine which ones are most valuable to track and optimize. • Collaborate with the team to establish features that guide product development and user engagement strategies. • Participate in both front-end and back-end development to support our customers and customer success team. • Design database systems using our existing SQL database and graphql API that perform at scale. • Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our systems. • Implement best practices for data security and integrity throughout the development process. • Work closely with the team to iterate on solutions that meet company goals and user needs. • Collaborate across teams to ensure that data-driven features are aligned with the overall product vision.

• Build and own video generation pipelines: prompt orchestration, asset conditioning, shot assembly, rendering, post-processing, and delivery. • Translate product goals (better-performing ad creatives, faster iteration) into measurable GenAI outcomes (quality, CTR lift proxies, latency, cost). • Integrate external video GenAI vendors/APIs and manage versioning, fallbacks, quotas, and reliability. • Create evaluation frameworks for video quality and ad readiness. • Optimize for latency, throughput, and cost (caching, batching, retries, parallelism, content aware routing). • Partner with product/design/engineering to ship improvements quickly and safely.
