Job Description
Account Executive
Inductive Automation
• Identifying and researching potential customers through various tools, channels, including networks, social media • Assisting in preparing and delivering demos to prospective clients, showcasing our software solutions and their benefits • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and challenges • Tracking and managing leads and opportunities through CRM system, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting • Working with customer success teams to follow strategies and share insights on customer feedback and market trends • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to effectively position our products • Assisting other Account Executives with customer meetings, proposals, and other sales-related activities as needed • Maintaining a foundational understanding of products and services offered and assess specific customer requirements • Relaying customer feedback to internal teams as needed • Maintaining records of all client activities, such as calls and emails within HubSpot and CRM, ensuring all details are thoroughly documented • Must pass Account Executive Training Program within probationary period of 120 working days • Must complete Ignition Core Certification Test within probationary period 120 working days • Must complete Capstone demonstration within 2 attempts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, account management, or a related field preferred
- Some exposure to programming and/or database experience strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of industrial automation technologies and solutions preferred
- A results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for customer success
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Basic understanding of CRM software and sales tools such as Hubspot and Zoominfo is a plus
- May be required to attend customer meetings on-site or in office as necessary

• Proactively identify, pursue, and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and targeted account development. • Own the full inside sales cycle—from initial outreach through quote development, negotiation, and order closure. • Aggressively build and manage a qualified sales pipeline aligned to revenue targets. • Re-engage inactive or under-penetrated accounts to drive incremental growth. • Develop a working knowledge of industrial and plastics-related products, applications, and customer use cases. • Partner with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. • Effectively communicate technical concepts in a clear, customer-focused manner. • Collaborate with engineering, field sales, service, and operations to deliver complete solutions. • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, maintaining high responsiveness and professionalism. • Conduct discovery conversations to uncover needs, pain points, and buying motivations. • Support long-term account growth through consistent follow-up and value-based engagement. • Accurately document all activities, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce). • Use data and analytics to prioritize accounts, manage pipeline health, and drive conversion. • Meet or exceed KPIs related to pipeline generation, conversion rates, and revenue. • Adhere to established sales processes while continuously seeking ways to improve execution.
