Role Description As a Senior Data & Community Governance Analyst at Sage, you’ll be a key driver of multiple Privacy and Compliance Office projects and initiatives. You will design data governance approaches for research communities to share biomedical data ethically, compliantly, and responsibly. - Lead the development of policies, processes, and structures that guide and oversee activities such as research design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination. - Collaborate with researchers, consortia, and funders to ensure the ethical, responsible, and accountable conduct of research and data sharing. - Lead initiatives that enable responsible data sharing by evaluating data sensitivity and designing governance approaches. - Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and institutional requirements and contribute to incident investigations. - Lead research, community, and data governance initiatives addressing the responsible application of AI and other developing technologies. - Lead the development and implementation of standards for data sharing and governance education. - Drive collaboration with internal and external partners to develop and negotiate data-sharing terms. - Proactively identify gaps across research, community, and data governance domains. - Lead and champion comprehensive privacy and compliance training programs. Job Requirements

SUMMARY Safe Babies, a program of ZERO TO THREE™ supports states and communities in building a more coordinated and aligned early childhood system based on the Safe Babies approach. The Safe Babies approach works concurrently at the child and family level, community level, and state level to promote healthy early childhood development while impacting long-term capacity building. The goal is to keep families together by igniting collective action to meet the urgent needs of babies, toddlers, and their families. While the Safe Babies approach is anchored in the court system, it is also an entry point for cross-system collaboration to effectively serve families across multiple areas of need. We are seeking a highly organized, exceptionally collaborative Data Analyst who serves as an integral member of the Safe Babes. The Data Analyst works closely with the Senior Manager, Quality Improvement; Manager, Quality Improvement and the Safe Babies Research/Evaluation team to perform intermediate to complex data collection and analysis with minimal direction. Primary responsibilities include data collection, analysis and visualization to support CQI and internal evaluation efforts, database support, and reporting pertaining to monthly and annual requirements. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Database Support - Test database enhancements in the Safe Babies beta site. Report any issues to the Quality Improvement, Manager. - Manage the Safe Babies database help desk and provide timely responses to tickets. - Managing database user access. - Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the SBCT User’s Guide and keep it current for all users - Data Reporting - Run quarterly reports on maltreatment rates. - Run quarterly missing data reports and data quality checks for Safe Babies sites without a state team. - Extract and synthesize National Resource Center activity (e.g. Technical Assistance activities) data from the database for internal and external reporting. Track and follow up on missing data with colleagues. - Complete audit requirements on or before due dates and respond in a timely manner to database related audit requests. - Develop and implement new data collection protocols to further Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts, as appropriate. - Support the work of the Research & Evaluation team. This includes: - Creating and maintain an inventory of key comparative national data indicators (e.g. child and adult health and mental health, child welfare, court). - Create surveys using Survey Monkey and pull data. - Manage and track the various types of internal evaluation data that exist. - Prepare data visualizations to support internal evaluation and CQI efforts. - Includes both static charts as well as more complex, interactive dashboards - Prepared for both standard reporting cycles (e.g., quarterly, annually) as well as for ad hoc requests to serve immediate CQI goals - Respond to quick turnaround requests for specific data analysis, including analyses requested by state teams, sites and Safe Babies staff. - Participate in full team meetings, CQI/evaluation meetings and ad hoc meetings. - Support management of CQI and internal evaluation projects by using project management software e.g. Asana. - Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
