Role Description Acro Commerce is looking for a Front End Developer to build and maintain high-quality e-commerce experiences for our clients. We're seeking someone who: - Codes in React like it's their native tongue. - Can turn a Figma file into a fast, componentized, pixel-perfect build. - Notices when something's a few pixels off before anyone has to tell them. - Is driven to do good work but doesn't take themselves too seriously. - Can walk us through a build that didn't go as planned and explain what they'd do differently. - Can provide example work. What you'll do: - Build & Ship: - Build and maintain front ends primarily in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, turning Figma designs into clean, componentized, well-tested code. - Implement updates and revisions to existing websites and web applications. - Work independently across multiple smaller tasks or larger builds with shifting priorities to meet deadlines. - Quality & Estimation: - Produce high-quality work adhering to Acro Media standards and the Acro Media production process. - Provide accurate estimates for the time required to fix a defect, complete a build, or add functionality to an existing application. - Find and fix problems in code; this might not be your code, and your only hint might be a cryptic complaint from a client. - Collaboration: - Communicate well with Account Managers, Supervisors, and Clients about work requests, problems, and defects. - Act as both a peer/mentor to other developers and be comfortable asking for help from teammates. Qualifications - Strong, hands-on React experience, comfortable building component-driven UIs and working from a design system or component library (Storybook experience a plus). - An eye for design; able to identify discrepancies between a build and a Figma file. - Solid grasp of responsive, accessible front-end development; knowledge of WCAG basics. - Comfortable hand-coding clean HTML, CSS, and JS when necessary. - Comfortable working in a Linux shell for day-to-day tasks; some understanding of Linux hosting is a plus. - Source control experience (Git, GitHub, etc.). - Open to learning new languages and technologies; familiarity with React, Next.js, and TypeScript is essential. - Excellent internet connection and adequate hardware for conference calls. - Fluency in English. Requirements - All offers of employment with Acro Commerce are contingent on successfully completing a criminal background check. - Given the often isolated nature of working remotely, we value remote team members who get involved, communicate effectively over email, chat, and video. Benefits - Ownership and impact; developers own their work and are not confined to a corner. - Autonomy over your schedule; flexible start times and earned days off. - Professional development opportunities; support for personal growth and skill improvement. - A unique culture that embraces individuality and teamwork. - 30-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee on your career satisfaction.
