Senior Data Engineer

• Design and implementation of complete ETL/ELT pipelines — from ingestion to consumable data products • Dimensional modeling (star schema / Kimball) for core and gold layers • Active involvement in the migration from Azure Data Factory to Apache Airflow • Building and enhancing dbt models for the Gold layer • Embedding data quality testing, monitoring, and software engineering standards

Job Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer in an enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of production experience with Apache Airflow and dbt
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server / Azure (ideally Dedicated SQL Pool / Synapse)
  • Solid experience in ETL, orchestration, monitoring & troubleshooting
  • Experience with data quality testing (dbt tests, Great Expectations or similar)
  • Confident use of Git & engineering best practices; initial practical experience with coding agents is a plus
  • German (min. C1), English fluent

Primary Subject Matter of Cases - Telephone privacy (robocalling and Do Not Call) - Identity theft, identity deception, fraud - Security breaches involving unauthorized acquisition of personal information - Credit reporting - Data privacy framework and statutes - Age verification requirements for adult oriented websites Examples of Duties - Gather information and collect data relevant to investigation and litigation of cases involving identity theft, security breaches, data privacy, credit reporting, age verification and related matters. - Perform forensic investigations of electronic and digital material using technical investigative techniques. - Interview victims, witnesses, and potential targets of investigation or prosecution. - Communicate with other law enforcement agencies as necessary. - Assist in joint investigations and respond to referrals from other agencies. - Assist supervising attorneys in trial preparation; testify in court proceedings and affidavits as necessary. - Prepare timely, comprehensive, and accurate investigative reports for internal review. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date files in case management system. - Communicate with supervising attorneys and other staff members to provide updates on cases and investigations. - Review decisions, policies, regulations, and other legal authorities relevant to subject matter. - Communicate and build relationships with prosecutors and law enforcement officials in Indiana and other jurisdictions. - Network with other government agencies to develop relationships and communication protocols with government agencies. - Provide outreach, referral, and training services around the state on identity theft and related issues. - Attend trainings to learn about legal trends in subject area. - Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by supervising attorney. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a criminal justice or business-related field or equivalent of college and work experience in law enforcement is preferred but not required. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Ability to balance and manage high volume of cases and files and to handle multiple assignments of varied type and difficulty on an ongoing basis. - Proficiency in computer skills and electronic forensic investigative techniques. - Familiarity with complex computer processes and new technologies. - Ability to work with complainants, witnesses, and staff; sensitivity and awareness of public relations and political implications of high-profile cases. - Adherence to highest standards of ethical conduct. - Must pass a background investigation and possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
