Job Description

Budget Controller

This role involves taking charge of financial reporting for a range of nonprofit clients, implementing best practices in accounting. Develop and maintain best practice accounting principles for nonprofit clients. Supervise the Outsourced Accounting team and manage workload allocation. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. Provide financial consulting services tailored to each client. Manage client relationships, providing insights and financial management advice. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Train and develop team members for effective service delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably with nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in financial data management and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with managing and developing staff.
