Financial Controller – Contract
Entrepreneur Cooperative
• Take full ownership of the General Ledger (GL), ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and compliance. • Maintain and manage the Chart of Accounts. • Lead the transition from outsourced accounting to an internal accounting function. • Manage monthly close activities, reconciliations, and financial accuracy. • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. • Review Profit & Loss statements and financial performance across business units. • Ensure accurate and timely reporting for executive leadership. • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations. • Review invoices, payroll, expense reports, and vendor payments. • Provide guidance and oversight to the bookkeeping team. • Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations. • Coordinate payroll tax, sales tax, and year-end tax reporting activities. • Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies and financial controls. • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling financial records and sensitive company information.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant with full ownership of the General Ledger (GL).
- Strong experience managing month-end close and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience supervising accounting or bookkeeping teams.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- High level of integrity with the ability to manage highly confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
