Luna Lux is a premiere production, lighting design, AV design, media production, and equipment rental company. The company was founded in the spring of 2012 by Phillip W. Powers and Theodore J. Gordon. We were created with the objective to create stunning and fitting designs for any size experience, event, or venue. We provide lighting and AV design services for the museum exhibition, theme park, live event and experiential industries. Additionally, we provide lighting and AV equipment procurement and system installation for those same industries. Our backgrounds are in live events and in addition to our design and procurement services we also offer technical Labor and equipment rentals in North America with specific focus on live events. Our design studio and central warehouse is located in Dallas, TX and we have representation in both Los Angeles and New York City, allowing us to serve North America from coast to coast. We have a large and talented roster of professional designers, operators, and technicians from a wide range of fields, including audio, scenic, and projection design. Our close relationships with local Theater Tech and Design programs, and unique internship program, ensure that we are always growing our roster with the most energetic and well trained designers, programmers, and technicians. We design for: Theatre Museum Installations Theme Parks Cruise Ships Corporate Events Architectural and Permanent Installations Indoor and Outdoor Projection Mapped Activations Live Event Broadcasts Concerts Activations Job Description Luna Lux is seeking a project manager to work with our lighting and AV design department. The project manager plans, organizes and oversees a project from start to finish in collaboration with the design leads. They guarantee that the project is delivered within the designated budget, timeline, and contractual agreement. The project manager identifies the project's goals, objectives, and scope and creates a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required. They communicate with the project team and stakeholders, manage risks and issues, and monitor progress to ensure that the project stays on track. The project manager also track contract deliverable and financial billing milestones. The project manager also evaluates the project's success and identifies areas for improvement in future projects. Job Responsibilities: Planning and developing the project plan. Developing and leading project teams Establish deadlines and monitor the progress of the project. Identify and resolve issues that arise. Managing your financial resources. Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors. Assist in the preparation of design proposals and rental/sales quotes Performs other related duties as assigned. Continue professional development and education for emerging technologies Work towards a PMP Certification and/or comparable project management certifications Qualifications Requirement Capabilities: Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design Experience Working knowledge of entertainment design Working knowledge of architectural and facility requirements and integration of products into an attraction, museum, or live event Understanding of the creative process and the development of a creative design Ability to deliver on a project’s established scope, schedule and budget Demonstrated commitment to on-going personal education Ability to work flexible hours - nights, weekends, holidays Possess excellent communication skills; highly motivated; can accept direction easily Fluent in English (written and spoken) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skill Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent client-facing skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong supervisory and leadership skills; Ability to collaborate and work as a team; Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Additional Information The right candidate has strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize, and adjust as needed. It’s important that you enjoy or have had experience working in entertainment, theme parks, museums, and theatrical experiences. Successful candidates may be required to travel domestically and internationally and must be comfortable working closely with clients and vendors of different cultural backgrounds. Successful candidates must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions or the ability to obtain one within 6 weeks after employment.
