MSW Social Work Intern

Centerstone

Role Description Centerstone’s Virtual Clinic is offering a year-long practicum internship opportunity for first-year MSW students who are interested in community mental health and case management. Interns will work 15–20 flexible hours per week and receive regular supervision from an LCSW and a task supervisor. This placement provides hands-on experience working with clients through: - Intakes - Assessments - Supportive counseling - Resource navigation - Case management Interns may also assist with: - Group and family sessions - Community outreach and advocacy projects - Various administrative tasks Throughout the internship, students will build skills in: - Assessment - Intervention - Documentation - Professionalism - Ethics - Cultural competence - Working with individuals, families, and groups Interns have a flexible schedule and can work 15–20 hours per week over 2–3 days, allowing them to balance their practicum with classes and other commitments. Scheduling is coordinated with the supervisor to meet both learning and clinic needs. Interns will work with a diverse client population through the Virtual Clinic. All clients have commercial insurance and present with a wide range of mental health concerns, life challenges, and support needs.
