Role Description Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative virtual teacher to join our team for the school year. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom and 1:1 setting as they receive treatment in behavioral health facilities. - Plan and deliver daily lesson plans. - Provide individualized assistance to students. - Regularly communicate about student progress as needed. - Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success. - Maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 10-15 school-age patients at any one time. Position schedule is Monday-Friday in the mornings. This position will be at least 7.5 hours per week with the potential to add on extra hours. • Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day • use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt approach to meet each student • provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records • build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication • collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience
