• Build Blazor WASM components with clean, reusable patterns and accessibility in mind • Implement Minimal API endpoints in .NET with OpenAPI, validation, and performance in focus • Contribute to our MAUI mobile app, including shared component libraries • Work with EF Core and SQL (Postgres); define/maintain database relationships and manage code-first EF Core migrations • Support real time UI behavior using SignalR where needed • Leverage Claude Enterprise to generate, refactor, and maintain test scripts efficiently, and help define best practices for AI-assisted testing on the team. • Integrate authentication/authorization via Microsoft Entra ID (OIDC/OAuth2, MSAL, roles/scopes) • Ship via Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, environments), following branch policies and PR reviews • Improve code quality through SonarCloud rules aligned with our standards • Generate and consume API clients from OpenAPI/Swagger for typesafe integration • Instrument services with distributed tracing and logging using Azure Application Insights • Help monitor service health, failure rates, and performance; participate in alert triage for staging/production • Work in three-week sprints with Product to refine user stories and acceptance criteria

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using React on the frontend and Python on the backend, with PostgreSQL as the primary data store • Build and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and CloudFront as appropriate • Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to ensure reproducible, version-controlled environments across dev, staging, and production • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate testing, builds, and deployments • Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD), writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests before or alongside implementation to ensure high code quality and confidence in releases • Apply Spec-Driven AI Development practices — writing clear, structured specifications that guide AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate implementation while maintaining code quality and architectural consistency • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into well-scoped technical specs • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and help enforce engineering best practices • Monitor application performance and reliability in production, using observability tools to proactively identify and resolve issues • Participate in architectural decisions, balancing scalability, maintainability, and delivery speed • Design and implement systems that handle Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in full compliance with HIPAA and other applicable data privacy regulations, incorporating encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and audit logging by default

A Typical Day: - Shape the team’s long-term vision and roadmap in close collaboration with cross-functional partners across Airbnb. - Build strong relationships with partner engineering teams, including backend, client, data science, analytics, and ML. - Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines - both batch and real-time. - Implement robust offline and online feature building processes to enable faster production of ML products. - Architect and build ML infra and optimize for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. - Mentor and develop engineers on the team, while also contributing to and influencing the broader data engineering community at Airbnb. Qualifications - 9+ years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS/EE, or equivalent experience, or 6+ years of experience with a PhD. - Strong CS fundamentals, and knowledge of architecture and common design patterns. - You’re passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact. - You have experience of running data processing pipelines in production using distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink. - Experience collaborating with client, backend, ml, analytics teams, product and business partners. - Effectively work across team boundaries to establish overarching data architecture, data flow, and provide guidance to individual teams. - Experience working on/with end-to-end Machine Learning products. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Benefits - Base pay range: $204,000 — $255,000 USD. - This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
