Clinical Documentation Specialist RN

Role Description The Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. This position is responsible for the facilitation of modifications to clinical documentation through extensive interaction with: - Physicians - Nursing staff - Other patient caregivers - Coding staff To ensure that appropriate reimbursement is received for the level of service rendered to all patients. This is a professional level position requiring: - Organization and interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies, procedures, and programs - A clinical background - Independence - Strong facilitation and analytical skills This position requires regular significant contacts with other personnel throughout and outside the medical center.
