Senior Director, Engineering
DSV - Global Transport and Logistics
• Responsible for managing, coaching, tracking and reporting through their heads of department – CIP and Project Engineering a highly skilled team in which the departments are responsible for designing and implementing common Contract Logistics processes tied to new facility construction (greenfield), client migration (brownfield) and deployment of technology with continued efforts related to driving continuous performance improvement across all Contract Logistics facilities within geographic area of responsibility. • Maintain department budgets, financial and engineering metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals. • Support operations in order to meet budgeted operating profits and cost reduction objectives. • Communicate opportunities for improvement to senior management team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) role with extensive experience in:
- New Business Implementations
- Driving Continual Improvement and Financial Savings in Operations
- Prior leadership positions directing Senior Leaders and frontline Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment
- Advanced knowledge of statistics
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI
- Experience with AI tools and applications
- Extensive understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) tied to capabilities
- AutoCAD
- Lean methodologies
- Six Sigma tools
- Knowledge of various storage methodologies as well as material handling equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, Spanish highly desired.
