Role Description This position is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the course Macroeconomic Theory III (ECO3152) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics. - Correction and administration of assignments and exams. - Invigilate exams as requested by the professor. - Assist students on a one-to-one basis or in groups. - Other related tasks requested by the professor. Qualifications - BA Honours in Economics or equivalent. - Successfully completed the course or an equivalent course. - Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Brightspace software is an asset. - Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6. Requirements - All University of Ottawa employees must complete mandatory legislated training. - Notify of any particular adaptive measures required during the selection process. - Consultation with the Health and Wellness sector of Human Resources may occur if needed. Benefits - Hourly Rate: $31.89 for undergraduate students, $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025). - Rates do not include vacation pay or statutory pay. - Retro pay will be issued after the ratification of a new collective agreement.
