Role Description We are currently seeking Online Instructors for our Health Care Assistant (HCA) Program. - Location: Online / Remote - Employment Type: Part-Time, Contract - Start Date: May 2026 - Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - Compensation: - LPN: $34–$38 per hour - RN: $41–$44 per hour Qualifications - Current, unrestricted full registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) - Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners (e.g., completion of a Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent education, or previous teaching experience supported by satisfactory references, performance evaluations, and/or student course evaluations) - Two or more years of full-time Canadian nursing experience (1 year = 1,400 hours), with strong knowledge of the Canadian health care system, the roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members and current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings - Nursing experience must include: - Working with older adults with complex health needs - Experience or orientation (e.g., shadow shifts) in home support and multi-level/complex care - Previous experience teaching and/or studying in an online learning environment; experience using Moodle as a learning management system is preferred Requirements - Our Core Values: - Connectedness and Inclusivity - Collaboration and Innovation - Accountability and Integrity - Adaptability and Responsiveness - Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion - Stenberg College is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all individuals can thrive. Requirements - A faculty member working 12, 12-hour paid shifts or 18, 8-hour paid shifts in industry. - A faculty member's job shadowing with industry professionals in various units or departments relevant to the courses the faculty member is contracted to teach. This may include practicum monitoring and/or clinical instruction in an industry setting. - Attendance at annual industry conferences, AGMs, and in-services being provided by employers/Stenberg College. - Participating in industry-specific committee work.
