Role Description We are seeking a high-agency Director of Operations to serve as the backbone of our organization. This isn't just about 'keeping the lights on'; it's about designing the infrastructure for a modern, remote-first nonprofit. You will oversee the intersection of finance, HR, legal, and grant administration, ensuring our scientific partners have the resources they need to move fast. You will help us with the organization of our daily operations, in order to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company's operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success. Your duties will include ensuring that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. - Operational Architecture: Build and maintain our remote tech stack (Computers, Microsoft Suite, Slack, Notion, Zoom, PM tools) to ensure seamless communication, productivity, and security across time zones. - Day to Day Ops: Work together with executives and managers to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals. Monitor daily business activities to ensure smooth progress. Perform evaluation of the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements, on a regular basis. - Financial Stewardship: Manage the annual budget, oversee bookkeeping, and ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations. You will lead the 'business-side' of our fundraising and grant making cycles. - Culture and People: In collaboration with leadership, develop a remote-first culture that prevents burnout and fosters connection. Manage hiring, onboarding, and payroll for a growing team. Review and update policies and promote their implementation. - Grants and Research Administration: Work alongside our scientific leaders to manage the distribution of funds, tracking milestones, and reporting requirements of funded researchers. Organize relationships and agreements with external partners and vendors. - Compliance and Governance: Act as the primary verifier of the compliance of company's operations to legal regulations related to our 501(c)(3) status and employment practices across jurisdictions. Qualifications - 5+ years' experience in organizational operations, ideally in a scientific nonprofit environment. - Solid experience with diverse business functions and principles (e.g. HR, finance, IT, communications, etc.). - Good practical knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics. - Working experience with MS Office and various business software including ERP and CRM solutions. - Strong organizational and leadership abilities. - Strong communication and people skills. - Good knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines. - BSc or BA degree in business administration or other relevant area; MSc or MA degree will be a bonus. • Collect, analyze, and synthesize intelligence from multiple disciplines including: HUMINT (Human Intelligence), SIGINT (Signals Intelligence), GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence), OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence), IMINT (Imagery Intelligence) • Produce high-quality intelligence products including: Threat assessments, Area studies, Targeting packets, Pattern of life analysis, Intelligence summaries (INTSUMs), Daily and weekly intelligence reports • Support operational planning, mission execution, and force protection with real-time and predictive analysis. • Conduct trend analysis and predictive threat modeling. • Brief leadership and operational teams clearly and concisely. • Maintain situational awareness of regional security threats, actors, and geopolitical dynamics. • Integrate intelligence into operational planning cycles and commander’s decision-making processes. • Maintain strict adherence to classification handling, OPSEC, and intelligence oversight requirements.

The Head of Medical Writing will provide strategic and operational leadership for all Medical Writing activities to support BlueRock’s portfolio, from early development through product registration. Accountable for establishing and overseeing a cohesive, scalable Medical Writing function that delivers high-quality regulatory documents aligned with BlueRock’s global strategy, development timelines, and corporate priorities. Develop and lead an internal medical writing team, oversee vendor partnerships, and serve as a key strategic partner to various departments. Help shape future-state capabilities, including AI-enabled medical writing, platform-based content reuse, and collaboration models with Bayer colleagues. Define and own a Medical Writing strategy and roadmap aligned with BlueRock’s pipeline, regulatory milestones, and long-term growth. Establish standards, processes, and governance to ensure consistency, quality, and inspection readiness across all Medical Writing deliverables. Partner with Regulatory Affairs leadership to ensure integration of Medical Writing into regulatory strategy, Agency engagement, and submission planning. Drive a platform-based approach to document development for efficiencies and content reuse. Represent Medical Writing in cross-company forums as needed. Operational Excellence Provide oversight and accountability for all Medical Writing deliverables across BlueRock’s portfolio. Ensure delivery of documents that are on time, of high quality, and aligned with evolving global regulatory expectations. Identify opportunities to improve speed, quality, and scalability of document development. Lead resource planning (internal FTEs and external medical writing vendors) to support current and future program needs. Oversee and manage vendors and consultants to ensure consistent value, quality, and alignment. Serve as escalation point for complex document development challenges. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing internal Medical Writing team. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to support professional growth and retention. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to modernize Medical Writing activities, including evaluation and pilot implementation of AI-enabled authoring, QC reviews, and content reuse tools. Define and manage collaboration models with Bayer, including potential shared services and/or AI-enabled pilots.
