Job Description

Senior Director - Field Services & Vendor Operations

ASCRIBE - ASIRUS - SOLID

The Senior Director, Field Services & Vendor Operations is a senior execution and leadership role responsible for owning, scaling, and evolving Solid's vendor ecosystem across existing servicing business lines and newly launched field services offerings, including Single Family Rental (SFR). Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors while holding them accountable to defined service levels and cost expectations. Design and execute vendor strategies that balance speed, quality, and margin. Own vendor-level economics, ensuring pricing, service levels, and quality expectations align with margin objectives and scalable growth. Lead vendor performance management efforts, including issue resolution, corrective action, and continuous improvement. Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, compliance, and technology to support scalable execution. Develop and refine vendor processes, tools, and documentation to support growth and operational clarity. Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities within the vendor ecosystem and take ownership of resolving them. Spend meaningful time in the field with vendors and internal teams, including property walks, ride-alongs, training, and quality reviews to ensure standards are understood, executed, and continuously improved.

Job Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in operations, field services, vendor management, or a related execution-focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience standing up or scaling operational programs, not just maintaining them.
  • Strong understanding of vendor economics, performance management, and field execution dynamics.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure without excessive process or bureaucracy.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.
  • Experience in property services, inspections, preservation, maintenance, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to operate effectively within existing technology platforms and constraints, improving execution through process, discipline, and accountability while maintaining awareness of market alternatives.
  • Comfortable spending time in the field, reviewing work product firsthand, and engaging directly with vendors in property-level environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support vendor onboarding, market launches, field reviews, and internal planning sessions. Travel intensity may increase during periods of business expansion.
  • Take ownership quickly and reduce the need for micromanagement.
  • Balance urgency with discipline, moving fast without sacrificing standards.
  • Build trust with vendors and internal partners while holding firm on expectations.
  • Create clarity and structure where ambiguity exists.
  • Help Solid launch and scale new offerings confidently while strengthening existing operations.
  • Be viewed internally as a reliable execution leader and thought partner to senior leadership.
  • Think in systems and anticipate downstream impact on reporting, billing, service levels, and scalability before implementing solutions.

Benefits

  • The expected base salary range for this role is $125,000–$140,000.
  • This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
  • Total rewards include employer-sponsored life insurance, medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer match, Flexible PTO, and reimbursement for approved business travel expenses.
  • Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
