Role Description Turo is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and turbo-charge Turo’s growth in the US. The Data Analyst will have the opportunity to liaise with many cross-functional teams and executives across the entire company to drive growth initiatives. The ideal person for this role is passionate about data, growth, product and marketplaces and will be able to leverage all of our data to help our business development and host success teams make the best possible decisions. - Analyze business performance trends and provide insights to inform decisions and identify opportunities. - Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to execute and measure A/B tests. - Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover product insights and solve business challenges. - Support ad-hoc analytical projects aligned with Turo's strategic priorities. - Present findings to stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams to ensure rapid execution and iteration. - Develop new dashboards for performance metrics, maintain existing ones, and ensure their accuracy. - Work closely with Data Engineering and BI teams to improve reporting infrastructure. - Maintain intellectual honesty and integrity throughout all tasks. - Analyze marketplace datasets and the interaction between supply and demand to identify opportunities, develop actionable recommendations, and test insights. - Analyze and track metrics related to revenue optimization, pricing, and user retention to support business growth. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline. - Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. - 3 years of experience writing complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data and to produce aggregated datasets for simplified analytics from large relational databases, including the use of advanced query techniques such as CTEs and window functions. - 3 years of experience using business intelligence tools to design and maintain dashboards used to communicate findings to stakeholders and to conduct deep dive analyses and identify trends and/or outliers in the data. - 2 years of experience using Python to perform data analysis, automation, or visualization tasks, including experience with data wrangling and visualization libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, and seaborn. - 1 year of experience analyzing data on two-sided marketplace dynamics, including balancing supply and demand and understanding the relationship between different sides of the marketplace. - 2 years of experience designing and evaluating A/B tests, including hypothesis forming, metric selection, and statistical analysis of results of A/B tests. - 1 year of experience using CI/CD tools to schedule and monitor the creation and refresh of data tables. - 1 year of experience using version control tools, including Git/GitHub to store, share and collaborate on code. Requirements - Experience using cloud-based data storage and data pipelines (e.g AWS S3) to support analytics and reporting. - Experience with pricing and retention analytics, including building pricing models and simulations in spreadsheet tools (e.g Excel, Google Sheets) to evaluate business impact of pricing changes. - Experience defining event parameters and aggregating and interpreting event-level data to measure feature performance, customer behavior and engagement.
