Tax Director

• Lead, Manage & Develop the Team Directly LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability) a team of tax advisors and preparers • Drive TAS engagements for Prime and Elite clients—proactive planning, multi-scenario tax strategy, and white-glove service delivery • Own the quality and consistency of the compliance practice • Serve as the firm’s senior client-facing presence for complex engagements • Build and maintain the systems that keep the team sharp

Job Requirements

  • CPA required; MS in Taxation strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of public accounting experience with meaningful time in a leadership or review capacity
  • Mastery of tax strategy development
  • Ability to quickly diagnose a client’s situation and sketch out the tactics to mitigate their tax exposure
  • Deep fluency in individual and business taxation—1040s, 1120-S, 1065, multi-state, multi-entity structures
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at the advisory level
  • Experience managing or developing tax staff
  • Comfortable in a growing firm—you bring structure, not just headcount

Tax Manager/Senior Manager Location: Lansing, MI Job Description: The Tax Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for leading complex tax engagements and managing workflows and deliverables. The Tax Manager is expected to communicate effectively both orally and in written form and be a licensed CPA. The Tax Manager/Senior Manager will oversee the preparation of complex tax returns and provide tax research and planning services to clients. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in tax advisory for expatriates, particularly Anglo-Saxon clients, and a strong understanding of international tax structuring.
