Role Description As our State Subject Curriculum Lead, you will own the educational source of truth for your specific subject area across NSW and strategically direct everything built from it. - Map: Build and maintain the curriculum source of truth for your subject, mapping out NESA syllabuses, recurring exam questions, and common student pitfalls. - Pace: Translate curriculum insights into live topic sequencing, question-type maps, and school-specific workshops kept 1–2 weeks ahead of local classrooms. - Support: Design the targeted materials and support systems students need to conquer internal assessments, optimize their school ranks, and ace the exams. - Direct: Plan educational resources upstream from the source of truth, steering Resource Developers to oversee the production of roughly 100 workbooks annually. - Govern: Act as the final quality gate to sign off on all subject materials with absolute polish, while continuously pushing curriculum innovation. Qualifications - 95+ ATAR and a Band 6 or E4 result in the respective NSW HSC subject. - State ranks are ideal, but not compulsory. - Prior tutoring or teaching experience with a strong track record of student outcomes. - Deep curriculum expertise and strong opinions on how the subject is sequenced, taught, and examined under NESA. - Excellent documentation skills with a focus on building durable, written educational frameworks. - Ability to brief, steer, and manage Resource Developers effectively without creating operational bottlenecks. - Uncompromising attention to detail with an obsession for error-free work and polished formatting. - High operational bandwidth to hit tight production deadlines and patch issues proactively. - Comfort using modern software and AI tooling to accelerate documentation and drafting workflows (preferred). - Alignment with Contour’s student-first mission and a genuine passion for reshaping education.
