Job Requirements
- Active pharmacist license that is in good standing
- 1+ years of managed care pharmacist experience
- 1+ years relevant UM work experience and demonstrated prior authorization experience
- Demonstrated understanding of utilization management interventions including prior authorization, step therapy, quantity limits and formulary exception
- Proven proficiency in literature search and analysis of evidence-based medicine
- Ability to understand and optimize complex work-flow processes
- Comfort in working cross functionally while maintaining and improving inter-departmental relationships
- Strong clinical, written, and verbal skills with the ability to identify and translate clinical information into an actionable clinical program solution
- Skilled in various PC applications, including MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Role Description In this role, you will be the first voice new patients hear at Mosaic, guiding them through onboarding by conducting telephone and video consultations, gathering medication history, reconciling prescriptions, and preparing them for a smooth start with our pharmacy. Your work directly supports medically complex and vulnerable seniors across the country, giving them a trusted, empathetic guide from their very first interaction and helping make their medication regimens safer, simpler, and more affordable. What You’ll Do - Serve as the first point of contact for new patients by phone and video, guiding them through onboarding. - Conduct comprehensive medication history interviews and reconcile prescriptions. - Educate patients on Mosaic’s pharmacy services and benefits. - Synchronize medication regimens and schedule the initial medication shipment. - Contact previous pharmacies to coordinate prescription transfers. - Collaborate with prescribers to obtain new prescriptions. - Address patient questions about insurance, costs, and coverage, and support claims processing and third-party billing issues. - Enter prescription details accurately into the pharmacy system for precise, timely medication fulfillment. - Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in the pharmacy management system. Role Description This role is critical in the financial clearance process which assists BJC hospitals enterprise wide in securing the appropriate authorization and/or Notice Of Admission (NOA) in order to prevent rescheduling the patient or risking net revenue loss. This position is required to obtain authorization on behalf of some physicians at Washington U school of medicine and BJC medical group and must maintain positive relationships. This position ensures technology is built in a way to accurately support the scripting and validation of authorization and NOA. Without the above we are limited in our collection of payment.
