Physical Security – Traveling Associate Project Manager
BearCom
• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information • Segment projects into achievable actions and set timeframes for completion • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management • Make sure that clients needs are met as projects evolve • Analyze risks and opportunities • Monitor project progress and manage issues that arise • Communicate project status to all stakeholders • Work with the team to eliminate blockers • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports • Ensure standards and requirements are met through monitoring quality assurance and control activities • Create schedules and collect documents to orient and guide projects and outcomes • Communicate with stakeholders about scheduling, staffing, and technical requirements • Help with other projects/duties as needed
Job Requirements
- Recent graduate or 2+ years of proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
- Practical knowledge of various project management methodologies, tools, and applications
- Familiarity with general construction industry and practices
- Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Make important decisions under pressure
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risk items within project related activities
- Communicate and work at all levels within BearCom and with customer
- Write, read, interpret, explain and act based on a thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related document
- Support cross-functional BearCom teams to achieve customer objectives and specific team goals within established time frames and requirements
- Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest and ethical responsibilities
- Additional hours may be required
- Use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area
- Travel will be required on an as needed basis and may be up to 25% of a given week
- Must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance
- Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
