Field Technician II
Northland Controls
• Test all equipment after termination to ensure proper system performance • Perform work in compliance with Northland Controls’ Safety Manual, prioritizing the safety of self and others at all times • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including vehicle logs, timecards, and field service requests • Report project status, delays, and changing requirements to the Lead Technician or Project Manager • Maintain daily logs of customer requests, work performed, job numbers, dates, times, and assigned tasks • Adhere to company procedures, systems, and installation techniques • Ensure work is completed within each project phase estimate (e.g., wire pulling, mounting, installation) • Support system startup activities alongside the Lead Technician to ensure full system functionality • Collaborate with the Lead Technician and Project Manager to ensure successful project closeout and handover to clients and service teams • May mentor Installers and other Technicians on project sites
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Vocational or technical school training highly preferred; on-the-job training may be provided
- 3–4 years of related experience preferred (minimum 2 years considered)
- Experience in security systems installation (Access Control/CCTV) preferred
- Basic understanding of safety standards and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans
