Job Description

Canvasser Training Lead

Shawmut Services LLC

• Support the Training Director in implementing a comprehensive staff curriculum through skill sessions and management of the company LMS • Develop and facilitate one-off and curriculum-based training sessions for staff and other audiences across multiple platforms (virtually and in-person) • Work collaboratively with program staff, company leadership, partners, and clients to design customized internal and external training programs to support their priorities • Track and report qualitative and quantitative outcomes of training programs • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for trainings

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in personnel and organizational management
  • Campaign experience and/or deep understanding of the current political landscape preferred but not required
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Committed to the values and practices of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace with the ability to take feedback and learn
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills and a positive, collegial attitude
  • Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends
  • Must possess a cell phone, laptop, and reliable internet
  • Must be able to travel to project locations across the country on short notice; travel, lodging, and other related expenses are provided by Merrimack
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and NGP VAN is preferred.
