Job Description
Data Solutions Associate
SGS
• Responsible for managing vendor setup and overseeing the material ordering process within the system, up to the finalization of orders • At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors or contractual partners, primarily through written correspondence, but also verbally when necessary • Facilitate vendor setup through SharePoint and coordinate with vendors to secure all necessary information • Procure office supplies, punch out items, and other non-listed materials and consumables as needed • Maintain internal communication with the team based in Katowice • Handle order processing, follow-ups, and routine procurement tasks • Provides reports documenting reviews and changes where required • Maintains the integrity of the contents of database necessary for credible statistical reports • Attends and participates in team and company meetings • Provides suggestions on process improvements • Reports to Management any breach of integrity, solicitation for, or offer of, an improper payment or advantage coming to his/her knowledge • Performs other duties as may be assigned by Operations Manager to achieve operations efficiency
Job Requirements
- Must have at least a university and/or college degree
- A minimum of one-year experience in office or administrative functions, preferably with a focus on finance or human resources support is a plus
- Previous experience in SAP is preferred
- Experience using business systems such Oracle, iProcurement, and SharePoint is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to data quality and operational excellence
- Background in commercial or administrative roles (e.g., office clerk, administrative assistant, etc.)
- Computer literate (familiar with MS Window applications)
- Must type at least 35 words per minute with an accuracy rate of at least 90%
- Audit and proof-reading exposure preferred
- Detail and results oriented
- Able to coordinate and motivate
- Able to build certainty, respect and confidentiality
- Acts quickly and conclusively; able to make tough calls
- Able to perform effectively in high-pressure environments
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and mid-shift hours (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM), in alignment with the German holiday calendar.
