Job Description
Patient Access Services Authorization Representative
Banner Health
• Perform insurance verification and authorization functions that support Patient Access Services • Ensure compliance with department standards and billing requirements • Complete authorization initiation requests with payers for all service lines • Validate existing authorizations requested by providers • Provides necessary information regarding authorization numbers and patient demographic information to appropriate staff • Responds to "provider orders" for tests and procedures • Obtains authorizations for visits required by various payers
Job Requirements
- 2 or more years of healthcare insurance authorizations (Imaging, Surgery, Pharmacy, or other procedures)
- 1+ years of health insurance experience
- Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD Codes
- Reliable internet (NO WIFI, Ethernet Connection only)
- Quiet work area/home office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem-solving skills
