Assistant Chief NWQL

• Assist the Chief NWQL in overseeing the daily operations of the NWQL department, including managing staff, resources, and projects • Collaborate with the Chief NWQL in developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the NWQL department • Ensure that all projects are completed within the specified timeline and budget • Conduct regular performance evaluations of staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed • Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure accurate and reliable results • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders • Provide technical support and guidance to staff on laboratory procedures and methods • Stay updated on industry developments and recommend changes to improve processes and procedures • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff • Prepare and present reports on the performance of the NWQL department to senior management • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety and regulatory guidelines
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a laboratory setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, methods, and equipment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely, while also collaborating effectively with a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Experience with quality control and assurance processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for laboratory operations
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
