Job Description
Manager, Pricing & Proposals
Clario
• Provide direct supervision of the Pricing and Proposals team, including oversight of daily tasks and escalation support as required • Support departmental initiatives, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance auditing • Assign, prioritize, and distribute work across team members • Partner with the Director, Proposals and Pricing to establish, implement, and enforce annual team goals and performance metrics • Monitor goal attainment, performance, and compliance with established metrics • Maintain a deep understanding of business‑unit-specific products and processes related to Pricing and Proposals functions • Review proposals, pricing models, Statements of Service (SOS), and change order requests to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with Clario requirements, including financial and margin targets • Coordinate with the Legal department on contract finalization and support client negotiations as needed • Support pricing, proposal, change order, and other document template updates, ensuring alignment with overall company strategic direction • Collaborate with Strategic Pricing on client‑specific pricing requirements (e.g., rate cards and discount structures) and support implementation within the team • Provide leadership and cross‑functional collaboration to determine optimal pricing strategies for large or complex programs • Enforce and support pricing and discount controls within the team • Partner with Project Management leadership to ensure scope changes and client change order requests are communicated fully and accurately, enabling timely and accurate processing • Identify and drive operational efficiencies across the team • Establish, manage, and report on monthly metrics • Create and maintain departmental work instruction guides • Ensure a high level of data integrity within the CRM system • Provide interdepartmental training and support as needed • Support initiatives related to proposal management tools, including training and content maintenance • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Director and/or Vice President
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Pricing and Proposals within a pharmaceutical or CRO environment
- Minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience
- Expert knowledge of the medical and pharmaceutical industry, terminology, and practices preferred
- Experience with medical imaging is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce or another CRM system required
- Experience with proposal and/or content management tools preferred
- Proven ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Strong analytical, written, time management, communication, decision‑making, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
