Role Description As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Kard, you will be the go-to expert for turning data into impactful business intelligence tools and visualizations. You'll leverage your strong SQL, dbt, and visualization skills to build dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that empower our go-to-market teams and external merchant partners to make data-driven decisions. You'll spend most of your time on BI work—designing intuitive visualizations and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights—while collaboratively maintaining and growing an existing foundation of well-structured, reusable data models. Responsibilities - Data Infrastructure and Analytics Engineering: Build and maintain robust data models using dbt, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility across the organization through automated processes and improved data quality checks. - Business Intelligence and Reporting: Design and migrate dashboards and reports to modern BI tools like Count, translating complex data requirements into clear visualizations that support merchant and issuer success. - Merchant and Issuer Analytics: Develop analytical frameworks for merchant segmentation, performance metrics, and campaign measurement, providing insights that drive strategic decisions and optimize partner relationships. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, account management, and product teams to understand data needs, scope technical solutions, and deliver analytics that directly support revenue growth and operational efficiency. - Technical Leadership and Process Improvement: Lead pitch development and technical investigations, identifying opportunities to improve data workflows, reduce costs, and enhance the scalability of analytics infrastructure. Qualifications - Strong proficiency in SQL, with a preference for Databricks experience. - dbt familiarity. - Demonstrated expertise in BI visualization tools. - Proficiency in Python, with a preference for PySpark experience. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders. - A strategic thinker with a product mindset, capable of understanding and aligning data insights with broader business objectives, while proactively addressing the details. - Humility and openness, with the ability to seek out, learn from, and adapt to diverse perspectives, achieving the best outcomes. Requirements - Remote - USA Pay Range: $160,000 — $180,000 USD. • Strategically evolve our Data Warehouse • Build robust data models, enforce high quality standards, implement performant transformations, and maintain a warehouse the business can rely on • Take technical ownership of our Data Warehouse and purposefully advance its architecture, data models and quality standards • Use dbt strategically • Improve the performance, scalability and reliability of our Redshift-based warehouse • Develop new data pipelines and be responsible for clean orchestration and stable operation in Airflow • Introduce best practices in governance and observability; define standards for data quality, ownership, monitoring and documentation; ensure issues are detected early and reliably addressed

• Design, build and improve Power BI dashboards that answer recurring and ad hoc strategic questions • Develop and extend the data models that power these dashboards and analyses, utilizing dbt within a Microsoft Fabric environment • Build and maintain pipelines that populate these data models • Validate data quality and accuracy across claims, eligibility, clinical, HR, and engagement data, investigating and resolving discrepancies • Support custom and ad hoc analyses on strategic benefits questions
