GEICO
• Provide leadership to eng’g team utilizing data + rel tech. • Own complete sol across entire life cycle while utilizing strong prob solving ability. • Influence + build vision w/prod mgrs, team members, customers, + other eng’g teams to solve complex problems for building enterprise class business apps. • Hold accountability for quality, usability, + perf of sols. • Lead design sessions + code reviews to elevate eng’g qual across org. • Utilize prgming languages/databases (.NET, SQL, nosql), Container Orchestration svcs (Docker + Kubernetes), + various Azure tools + svcs across Software Development Lifecycle. • Execute software delivery utilizing Agile environ (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) for continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, Powershell scripting, Operation Portals (incl Azure Portal) + Monitoring Portals (incl Splunk + Application Insights). • Mentor jr team members in Data + rel tech. • Share best practices + improve processes within + across teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Five (5) years of rel exp in data software development, programming languages and developing with big data technologies.
- (3 yrs exp in) designing and building on existing and new data apps, Cloud DevOps Concepts, Cloud Services and Architecture, and Azure/AWS/GCP DevOps Operational Framework.
- (2 yrs exp in) designing and building solutions for data security, data quality and observability, metadata management, data lineage, data discovery, and one of the following: open source frameworks, .net CORE, asp.NET, Angular, or Express.
