Traveling Chiller Technician
AIR Control Concepts
• Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on commercial and industrial chiller systems • Diagnose and repair centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption chillers • Work on systems from LG, Trane, York, JCI, and Daikin • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and OEM manuals • Conduct start-ups, commissioning, and system performance checks • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components • Support central plant operations, including cooling towers and pumps • Provide recommendations for system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance • Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
Job Requirements
- Required 5+ years of experience working with commercial or industrial HVAC systems
- Proven experience with chillers (centrifugal, screw, or scroll chillers - air and water cooled systems)
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following OEMs (chillers): LG, Johnson Controls (York), Trane, Daikin, Carrier
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, controls, and electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and controls issues
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel
