• As a Senior Backend Stack Engineer in the Core Platform Team, you’ll be a principal owner of the TMS (Translation Management System) Platform and connected services. • Driving the architecture, reliability, and evolution of services covering translation workflow orchestration, vendor management, customer management, and integrations with our internal services. • Setting the technical direction for these services: defining how they scale, and maintain the quality bar expected of infrastructure-grade software. • Own and evolve foundational services: Take end-to-end ownership of platform service driving their architecture, reliability, and roadmap. • Lead backend architecture decisions: Author architecture decision records, define service boundaries, and ensure services are designed for scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability. • Design and enforce API contracts: Define and maintain clean, versioned, well-documented REST APIs consumed by internal teams and, increasingly, by AI agents. • Drive technical quality: Own non-functional requirements — performance, observability, security, and availability — across the services you lead. • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with product managers and domain experts across the business to shape the platform roadmap and translate real needs into sound technical solutions.

• Your hands-on experience in microservices architecture, together with a clear understanding of Domain-Driven Design, shapes the architectural vision • Evaluate and develop the architecture with regard to scalability, maintainability, and security of the systems • Contribute to the continuous optimization of work processes and the design of user-centered interfaces • Optimize resource usage through virtualization and containerization to create an efficient infrastructure • Create and structure documentation for current and future developers.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Python. • Build and implement Generative AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs). • Develop and orchestrate Agentic AI workflows, including autonomous agents capable of planning, reasoning, and executing tasks. • Integrate AI models with enterprise applications and external APIs. • Create robust prompts, retrieval pipelines, and agent architectures to solve business problems. • Optimize AI applications for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Implement best practices for testing, monitoring, and deployment of AI applications. • Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in GenAI and Agentic AI technologies.

• Evaluate current database architectures and suggest improvements to maintain performance and availability • Work within agile scrum & kanban to foster Engineering and support efforts • Support the engineering organization by responding to database outages, helping triage, and remediating any database-related issues • Support the engineering organization by evaluating database schemas, partitions, views and queries, implementing changes to increase database performance • Manage and maintain replication between databases, ensuring resilience and the ability to recover from faults (observability platform in place already) • Product choice decisions, design methods, and modelling for AWS and GCP database direction • DB architecture to support our business continuity plan, backups, compute, network and storage development, using Terraform to automate deployment/creation leveraging GitOps • Build and develop a common database design architecture that can be easily replicated for new database installations • Other duties as required
