Job Description
Product Designer
C the Signs
• Own end-to-end design across key product areas — from early-stage wireframes and flows to polished, production-ready UI • Design experiences that reduce friction and build trust, particularly for users navigating sensitive clinical information or receiving risk assessments • Translate complex clinical logic, AI outputs, and data-heavy workflows into clear, accessible, human-centred interfaces • Contribute to and help evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across web and mobile surfaces • Lead or support lightweight user research — interviews, usability testing, and workflow observation — with NHS clinicians and patients • Synthesise insights from customer support, customer success, and clinical feedback to continuously improve the experience • Identify friction points and unmet needs across our user journeys and present findings clearly to the wider product team • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Commercial teams and Clinical Advisors to ship well-considered, high-quality product experiences • Work closely with Customer Success and Support to ensure product decisions reflect real-world clinical implementation needs • Communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders — articulating the 'why' behind every choice • Collaborate with Marketing on go-to-market assets and patient-facing content where design quality matters
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI work
- Background in 0-to-1 product work or early-stage startups

- Experience in healthtech, diagnostics, or another regulated or clinical environment
- Highly proficient in Figma — from early-concept prototyping to component-level design system work
- AI-native in your workflow — you leverage AI tools to move faster, iterate more, and spend your time on the decisions that matter, not the repetitive work
- Experience designing for both web and mobile, with a sharp eye for visual detail and interaction quality
- Comfortable working across B2B and consumer surfaces, adapting tone and fidelity to the context
- Deep empathy for users — especially those engaging with sensitive or high-stakes information
- Strong communicator who can articulate design rationale across disciplines and hold their ground when it matters
- Able to operate with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, balancing craft with pragmatism and speed
- Nice to Have
- Familiarity with NHS workflows, EHR systems (EMIS, SystmOne), or care pathway design
- Exposure to DCB0129/DCB0160, MHRA SaMD frameworks, or ISO 13485
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) in regulated or public-sector digital products
Benefits
- Competitive salary
- Opportunity to work with a team that respects clinical expertise and builds it into the product process from day one
- A dynamic, mission-driven environment where your work directly impacts patient outcomes
- Flexible working arrangements - We are a fully remote company
