Job Description

Senior Software Engineer

Sports Reference, LLC

• Help design, build, and test complex, high-visibility technical projects for Engineering. • Work on modern web applications serving millions of users and incorporating data from 5 sports across 7 reference websites. • Produce high-quality results by contributing to projects involving full-stack development, CI/CD workflows, and data ingestion pipelines. • Actively own features and define long-term health while improving the health of surrounding systems. • Assist support and operations teams in triaging and resolving production issues. • Write understandable, testable code with a focus on maintainability and performance. • Stay updated with new trends and tools that may benefit the company.

Job Requirements

  • More than three years of experience in a software development position.
  • Experience managing direct reports OR strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven mentoring/coaching experience
  • High Emotional Intelligence
  • Experience resolving interpersonal conflict
  • A desire to manage people career growth, yearly goals, perform annual performance reviews.
  • Evidence of capability to meet numerous listed goals.
