Role Description Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment. What You’ll Do - Telepharmacy Services - Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification. - Provide patient counseling when needed. - Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS). - Clinical Support - Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers. - Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities. - Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairment. - Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, and more. - Operational Excellence - Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly. - Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies. - Technical & Professional Skills - Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms. - Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit. - Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access. - Training & Performance - Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates). - Meet productivity and quality standards. Role Description Provides medical administration support to providers by obtaining referral or prior authorizations for patients to see specialty providers. Completes referrals and/or authorizations accurately and consistently with minimal supervision. In Managed Care, processes authorization and referral requests for members in coordination with health plans and contracted providers. Provides support to the Case Management staff.
