• Leads the strategic development of formulary management best practices & medical drug strategies • Ensures efficient operational management with emphasis on execution and performance enhancement • Oversees monitoring of drug development pipeline and educates stakeholders • Ensures timely and accurate implementation of benefit and formulary changes • Participates in the negotiation of direct rebates with pharmaceutical manufacturers • Develops methods to identify and measure cost savings opportunities • Collaborates with stakeholders to create drug and utilization management strategies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required
- Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred
- Three (3) years of managed care experience required
- Two (2) years of formulary management experience in Medicare, Marketplace or Medicaid lines of business required
- Experience working with government lines of business in multiple states or markets required
- Previous managerial experience required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
