Ascensus
Role Description The Financial Analyst is responsible for QC and performing advanced operational and financial analysis functions for offshore 529 plan administration by leveraging Kofax and Unite. The Financial Analyst ensures accurate financial processing, workflow optimization, risk mitigation, and process improvements across daily transaction management and reporting environments. Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Verify the Cheque scanned through Kofax system to create the Occurrence in Unite to match Expectation amount. - Analyze and review account activity, detect irregularities, perform data reconciliations, and resolve exceptions in Unite to maintain account and reporting integrity. - Prepare, review, and optimize regular operational, financial, and compliance reports for leadership, surfacing trends and actionable insights. - Monitor incoming requests in Kofax, and support escalation workflows to resolve time sensitive or high impact items. - Collaborate with onshore and cross border teams to standardize procedures, communicate risks, and execute on global offshore operations strategies. - Recommend and lead automation and process improvements leveraging the capabilities within Kofax and Unite to reduce errors and streamline the workflow. - Support internal and external audits with well documented analysis, reconciliation evidence, and operational controls. - Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients. Qualifications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset. - Effective collaboration in global, cross functional teams with clear communication in English. - Understanding of US 529 plan regulations and related financial services compliance is a plus. - Able to work flexible hours to align with onshore team requirements and business needs. - Comfort with regulatory requirements in global financial services delivery and strong documentation practices. - MBA, preferable from Finance background. - Experience in the US retirement industry for 2 to 4 years. - Open core Night shifts based on business requirements. - Good verbal & written communication skills. - Good typing skill and attention to detail. - Good time management skills. - Ability to work independently. - Familiarity with MSOffice software applications, including Excel & Word. Requirements - For all virtual remote positions, an uninterrupted virtual workspace is required. - Expectation of family care being in place during business hours. - Internet work speed requirement of 25 Mbps or better for individual use. - If more than one person is utilizing the same internet connection, a stronger connection is required. - For call center roles, it is a requirement to either hardwire your equipment directly to the internet router or ensure your workstation is in close proximity to the router.
