Senior Software Engineer – Payments

• Working within agile software development teams, lead design and development of product features for payment processing, subscription billing, and reporting platforms • Lead integrations with external platforms • Ensure a robust software delivery process • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues • Reduce time to market by decomposing large feature requirements • Participate in design and code review • Mentor junior members of the development team • Manage software issues through tickets • Lead the adoption of best practices for coding standards • Work with other team members to incorporate business and regulatory requirements into product solutions • Flexible hours to work with local and remote team members • Respond to production issues and apply continuous improvement techniques.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience delivering commercial SaaS solutions using Java
- Experience in the Payments industry and/or integrating with a third-party payment API is a plus
- Passionate problem solver with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions
- 4+ years of experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL storage
- 3+ years of experience implementing RESTful service-oriented architectures with public APIs
- HTML / CSS / JavaScript / Angular experience; Vue a plus
- Unit testing, mocking, and automation experience
- 3+ years experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB; experience with Lambda is a plus
- Experience with Linux; experience with containers & Docker is a plus
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tooling
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
